It means a hair transplant from other parts of the body than the head. The surrounding area is the hairy skin: the chin , the chest, the back. This method is used when the patient has excessively hairy body area and there is a limited amount of hair on the head.
Other methods are:
-a small area of surgery, i.e. eyebrows , beard , mustaches
Advantages of the BHT method
– the possibility of extending the treatment by using areas that were not taken into account
– corrective scars
– the possibility of performing a transplant in the area of the beard and the upper lip of the hair with hair of the same structure
The disadvantage of this method is that the hair taken from a different area of the body is of a different structure than the hair on the head.
